O estaleiro da Quip, no Rio Grande do Sul, vai construir a plataforma P-63, da Petrobras. O contrato deve ser assinado até o final de novembro. A Quip terá como parceiro nesta plataforma, o grupo BW Offshore, da Noruega.

A obra da plataforma deve começar em um ano e que absorverá, no pico da obra, em torno de 2,5 mil trabalhadores. A P-63 é do tipo FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) e será instalada no Campo de Papa Terra, na Bacia de Campos. Essa unidade deverá contar com 65% de conteúdo nacional e terá capacidade para produção de até 150 mil barris de óleo por dia. Seu custo será de US$ 1,29 bilhão.

Em Angra, a expectativa é pela assinatura do contrato da plataforma P-61, que é idêntica à P-63 e será construída no estaleiro Brasfels, em Jacuecanga, pelo consórcio liderado pela Modec.
